A few weeks ago Pete found out he had to go to New York for some meetings on a Monday & Tuesday. I thought it was a great excuse to go to NYC for the weekend. Friday afternoon we were back at the airport & headed to the city. London was clearly enjoying hanging out with her daddy on the plane. Mikayla was kind enough to let us stay at her apartment on Friday & Saturday night. We got to hang out with Mikayla & Mike for a little bit on Friday night. Saturday morning we were up early & took a nice long walk in Central Park, followed by delicious bagels. We met a friend of Pete’s from high school for lunch. She was incredibly sweet. Mikayla & Mike met us for an early dinner. Clearly our weekend revolved around food. Sunday morning Pete & London went out for an early walk and let me sleep in a bit. They were kind enough to bring me back breakfast. They took a nap shortly after getting back & I went out for a run in Central Park. The weather was absolutely beautiful.
Mike & Mikayla brought us to a restaurant where we were able to watch the Patriots game – thank you both for putting up with our embarrassing ensemble of Brady jerseys. After the game Pete, London & I headed to check-in at the W, right near Pete’s office. Pete obviously had to work Monday & Tuesday – so London & I were left to our own devices. Monday we met Mikayla for lunch. And spent some time exploring the city. Monday night we had a dinner date with Daddy. Tuesday London & I went spent the morning at the Central Park zoo. It’s small but was perfect for a six month old. She really enjoyed the sea lions and the goats, sheep & alpacas at the children’s zoo. Pete met us at the hotel were the car picked us up and brought us to the airport. London screamed the entire drive to the airport but was awesome on the flight – I’ll take that.
