New England Trip: Week in Maine

Tuesday night we were back at Mom & Phil’s. Wednesday morning I started work on the front porch. Phil had already done most of the demo so after we picked up the lumber, I got started right away on rebuilding the structure. I had a bit of practice & lessons from an expert when we built our deck in Arlington Heights. The process was slow & steady but by Friday, Mom & Phil had a new porch! It was not a big project but having to stop every couple of hours to nurse & hang out with London made it take a little longer than it would have otherwise.20140809-170056.jpgThursday night we celebrated mom’s birthday. She wanted to have a tie-dye party, so that is what we did. London was actually really fussy so I missed out on some of the action but the shirts they made came out really nice. Mom also setup the supplies again on Saturday so I could get in on the action. She made London some really cute things.

Saturday morning mom indulged me and took me to a few yard sales (haven’t been all year). We did pretty well for ourselves! Before we hit the yard sales we took London up to Colby for her 4 month photo shoot & had a little fun while we were there. Phil & I put the final touches on the porch.20140804-100200-36120288.jpg
Sunday Mom, Phil, Jess & Nevaeh took London to church. After church I went out to lunch with Theresa. Dad & Shanie came to Waterville on Sunday evening & took Nate, Kristy & the kids out to Pizza Hut – and me to Dairy Queen!!
Monday we laid low & just hung out. Tuesday morning Mom took London to a baby yoga class – little yogi in training.20140809-170013.jpg
Tuesday afternoon we went down to Grampy’s for dinner. Aunt Adreth, Uncle Craig, Logan & Hannah, Lexi & Colin all came over for a really nice family dinner. London loved seeing her “big” cousin Colin. So cool that our kids are less than 2 weeks apart in age.20140809-171635.jpg
Wednesday morning London & I hit the road early to head back to Rhode Island. It was so nice being in Maine & getting to spend quality time with family. We felt so spoiled by all the home cooked meals & hospitality.
