Another busy weekend! Friday night we went to see James Taylor at Ravina, an outdoor concert venue near work. Pete got the tickets from work, his team is a client of one of the event sponsors. So it was a lovely wine & dine event, complete with a full dinner buffet, open bar & great seats. Turns out I even know a few of his songs! The weather was gorgeous & we had a great evening.
Saturday we went to Pete’s cousin’s daughter’s christening (that sounds a bit crazy), followed by a lunch party. Pictures from event left to right, top to bottom: Guest of honor, Abigail aka Abi | Abi & her grandfather (Pete’s godfather Bill) | Jack, big brother | Abi, Bill, & Eddie (cousin) | Abi, her aunt/godmother Jen & grandmother (Pete’s godmother Barbara) | Grammie & Abi & lastly the full picture is of Pete & his godfather playing baggo (?).
I made this quilt as a gift – it really is more of a play mat then a quilt but nonetheless here it is. The pattern is out of my Amy Butler book which I love.
After we headed to the Rascal Flatts concert. Lucky for us it was another gorgeous evening (not raining, not 105). It was a little (OK a lot) bit different from Ravina, 100s of drunk teenager, being rowdy & chain smoking pot & cigarettes. We had fun but was ready to go a little early after continuously being stepped on by crazy people.
